After having met all political groups in the Brussels Parliament, the Council prepared a memorandum and made it public at the Brussels Information Point on 7 February 2024. The memorandum contains lots of data about the region’s linguistic legal and factual situation and makes a set of proposals about how Brusselers could be better served and better equipped language-wise.
A separate document summarizes the recommendations made to the Brussels Region, the federal authorities, the Flemish and French communities.
A brochure focusing on how schools should address the linguistic diversity of their pupils anticipated some of these recommendations and was disseminated by the Council in September 2021.
